About the Role
We are seeking a proactive professional to lead Talent Acquisition while supporting core People Operations at Datastraw. This role will drive end-to-end hiring, manage recruitment pipelines, and ensure a seamless candidate experience in a fast-paced start-up environment. In addition to hiring, you will assist with onboarding coordination, HR documentation, and employee engagement initiatives.
This is a high-ownership role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic settings and wants hands-on exposure across both Talent Acquisition and HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment lifecycle - sourcing, screening, coordination of interviews, offer rollout, and onboarding.
  • Drive hiring through job portals, referrals, and proactive sourcing while ensuring strong pipeline management.
  • Collaborate with multiple reporting managers to understand hiring priorities, timelines, and role requirements.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment trackers, ATS updates (Keka/Sheets), and hiring reports.
  • Ensure a seamless candidate experience from first interaction to joining.
  • Support onboarding documentation and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance records, and assist with statutory compliance documentation.
  • Assist in employee engagement initiatives, internal communication, and maintaining updated HR records.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in Talent Acquisition with exposure to HR operations. Experience hiring for BPO, D2C, start-up, or remote teams is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS tools such as Keka and strong proficiency in Google Workspace / Excel.
  • Familiarity with Slack and collaborative tools.
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid model (4 days in-office, 2 days remote) based in Ghatkopar West, Mumbai.
